Portable Bidet Guide Every portable bidet, measured the same way.

About the database

About this site

Portable Bidet Guide is a structured database for comparing portable bidets using consistent specifications, clearly identified sources and published comparison criteria. It was created by Karim Ali, an engineer and product designer with several years of experience working on portable hygiene systems.

Why it exists

Portable bidets are surprisingly difficult to compare. Product listings frequently use terms such as "high pressure", "powerful spray" or "travel friendly" without publishing figures that can be compared directly. Where specifications are available, brands may use different units, different definitions or different figures across their own websites and retail listings.

Portable Bidet Guide brings those specifications into one consistent format. Comparable values are converted into common units, their sources are recorded, and products are compared according to the characteristics relevant to different use cases.

This is primarily a specification database, rather than a traditional review publication. Manufacturer figures, independent measurements, calculations and inferred values are kept distinct so that readers can see what each comparison is based on.

How the database works

Every product uses the same data structure and published methodology. The main rules are:

  • Every figure has a source. Values are identified as independently measured, published by the manufacturer, calculated from other published information, inferred from the product design, or not published.
  • Inference is kept separate from verified data. Inferred values may provide useful context, but they are not used where they could determine a comparison outcome.
  • Incomplete data remains incomplete. A specification is not treated as established simply because similar claims appear repeatedly across listings.
  • Rankings require enough comparable data. Use-case rankings are produced only when there is sufficient information across multiple products to make the comparison meaningful.
  • A use case is ranked only if most of its criteria can be scored. Where the characteristics that define a use case depend largely on information manufacturers do not publish, the criteria are shown and no ranking is produced, rather than ordering products on the criteria that happen to be available.

The full scoring system, data states and reliability rules are documented on the methodology page.

Disclosure

Karim Ali, who created Portable Bidet Guide, is also the founder and designer of PORTALO, one of the products included in the database.

PORTALO is documented and evaluated using the same published methodology, sourcing rules and use-case criteria applied throughout the database.

Corrections

Product specifications can change, and published information is not always consistent. If you manufacture a product listed here and identify an incorrect specification, or publish a figure currently recorded as unavailable, contact contact@portablebidetguide.com.

Corrections are made against a supporting source and the verification date is updated.

Commercial policy

Portable Bidet Guide does not use affiliate links, accept paid placement or receive commissions based on product rankings or recommendations.
