There are dozens on sale and almost no way to tell them apart. Most listings say "high pressure" and stop there. So we collected every specification each maker publishes, put them in the same units, and worked out which differences change anything — so you get one clear answer instead of forty product pages.

The short version
There is no single best portable bidet, and any site telling you otherwise is guessing. The right one depends on one question: what are you willing to carry? A 12 g nozzle that screws onto your water bottle beats everything on a trail and does nothing at home. A 2.5 L reservoir does the opposite. Between them sit bottles you squeeze and tanks you pump.

How we score
One method, applied the same way to all 18 models.
- Every figure is sourced and tagged — measured, published by the maker, derived from another figure, or deduced. You can see which on any spec.
- Weights change with the job. Grams decide a hiking trip and mean nothing in a flat, so each guide sets its own weighting and shows it.
- Silence scores zero. A figure the maker will not publish earns no points — we do not guess one in.
- Under three qualifying products, no ranking is published. Below that, a ranking describes which makers publish specifications rather than which product suits the job.

Three things worth knowing before you buy
"High pressure" means nothing
Not one manufacturer in this category publishes a pressure figure in any unit. We checked all 18. Exactly one does. Every other pressure claim you read is a word, not a measurement.
Brands contradict themselves
One product's own website states two different tank capacities one paragraph apart. Another has two retailers publishing battery capacities that differ by a factor of two. We keep both figures and flag the disagreement rather than picking one.
Almost nothing is repairable
A worn seal usually means a new product. Only one maker here states that its device comes apart without tools. The rest are silent, which in this category has rarely meant good news.
